1. Who we are
Lights, Action, Music Studios is a band rehearsal and music recording studio located at 155 Mingo Trl, Ste 129-A, Longwood, FL 32750 (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you contact us, book sessions, or visit our website at lightsactionmusic.com.
2. Information we collect
- Contact details: Name, phone number, email address, and any information you include when you call, text, email, or submit a form.
- Booking information: Requested dates, times, services (rehearsal, recording, live sound, backline), and any notes or technical requirements you share.
- Information collected automatically when you submit the booking form: The general city, region/state, and country associated with your connection, the page you submitted the form from, and the website that referred you. This is provided by our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, and is stored together with your booking request to route your request, prevent spam and abuse, and understand where booking interest is coming from. Your IP address is used only to check that you are a human (via Cloudflare Turnstile) and to route the request; we do not store it, and we do not store precise location, coordinates, or postal code. Cloudflare Turnstile may process technical signals from your browser for spam protection.
- Usage data: Basic analytics such as page views, referring sites, browser type, and similar information that helps us understand how the site is used. This may be collected through analytics tools or server logs.
- Communication history: Calls, texts, or emails with the studio for scheduling or support purposes.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and booking requests.
- To schedule, confirm, and manage rehearsals, recording sessions, and live event services.
- To send important updates related to your booking (changes, confirmations, reminders).
- To improve our operations, customer service, and website content.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
4. Legal basis (where applicable)
If privacy laws in your region require a legal basis for processing, we generally rely on:
- Legitimate interest in running the studio and responding to incoming requests.
- Contractual necessity to provide services you request and manage bookings.
- Consent where required for optional analytics or marketing features (if and when implemented).
5. How we share information
We do not sell your information. We may share limited information with:
- Service providers who process information on our behalf: Cloudflare (website hosting, spam protection, and the database that stores your form submission), and Fastmail and Slack, which notify us of your request. These providers act as our processors.
- Professionals such as engineers or crew when they need details to support your session or event.
- Authorities or advisors if required by law or to protect our rights, customers, or property.
6. Data retention
We retain booking-form submissions for 24 months, after which they are deleted, unless we need to keep them longer to fulfil a booking or to meet legal or accounting obligations. Other booking and communication records are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the studio, support repeat clients, and comply with legal or accounting requirements. You can ask what we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion by emailing [email protected].
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security over the internet.
8. Your choices
- You can choose not to submit certain information, understanding that it may limit our ability to book or manage your session.
- You can ask us to update or correct your contact details.
- If we ever use email newsletters or promotions, you will be able to opt out through a link in those messages.
9. Third-party links and tools
Our website may link to booking platforms, social media pages, mapping tools, or payment processors. Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for how third parties handle your information.
10. Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for adult customers, bands, and event organizers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without consent from a parent or guardian.
